Embark on a thrilling journey up Mount Kilimanjaro via the scenic 7-day Rongai Route with us, offering the exclusivity of a private climb.

Our adventure tour package encompasses shared twin room accommodation. For those requiring single bed accommodations, please notify us at least 2 weeks before the tour commences.

Throughout the ascent, you'll share a tent with 1-2 fellow climbers, tailored to the group size for an immersive experience amid nature's grandeur.

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Moshi town. Here, you will meet your knowledgeable guide who will provide you with a comprehensive briefing about your upcoming trek. Additionally, there will be an equipment check to ensure you have all the necessary gear for the mountain adventure. Any missing gear can be conveniently rented on this day.

DAY 2: NALEMORU GATE (1990M) TO SIMBA CAMP (2625M)

Today marks the commencement of our exhilarating journey as we drive to the quaint village of Nale Moru, serving as the gateway to the Rongai route. The initial leg of the trek guides us through verdant farmlands and serene pine forests, offering glimpses of the captivating Colobus monkeys and, if fortune favors, majestic elephants or buffalo. Our day culminates at Simba Camp, nestled on the cusp of the moorland zone at 2625m, where we'll establish our first campsite.

DAY 3: SIMBA CAMP TO KIKELELWA CAVE CAMP VIA SECOND CAVE CAMP

As the sun casts its glow on the landscape, we embark on a steady ascent towards the Second Cave Camp, nestled within the moorland zone. Here, amidst the serene expanse, we're greeted by breathtaking vistas of Kibo and the Eastern ice fields crowning the crater rim. Following a rejuvenating lunch, our journey continues towards the Kikelelwa Camp.

DAY 4: KIKELELWA CAVE CAMP TO MAWENZI TARN HUT CAMP

Following a hearty breakfast, we embark on a brief yet invigorating ascent up a steep grassy slope towards the Mawenzi Tarn Hut Camp. En route, be prepared to be captivated by the striking vistas of the surrounding wilderness, a panorama that evolves dramatically as we transition from the Heath zone to the Alpine desert zone. Tonight's accommodations await at the Mawenzi Tarn Camp, nestled amidst the jagged spires of Mawenzi.

DAY 5: MAWENZI TARN HUT CAMP

Today, we dedicate our time to acclimatization, a crucial step in our journey towards the summit. Our morning begins with a leisurely hike to Mawenzi Ridge, where the landscape unfolds in a tapestry of unique beauty, offering unparalleled views of both Kibo and Mawenzi. After soaking in the awe-inspiring scenery and exploring the area, we return to our base camp to unwind and recharge for the adventures that lie ahead.

DAY 6: MAWENZI TARN HUT CAMP TO KIBO CAMP

As the sun paints the landscape with hues of gold, we bid farewell to our campsite and venture across the lunar desert of the 'saddle' nestled between Mawenzi and Kibo. After a couple of hours of trekking, we arrive at this awe-inspiring locale, where the summit of Kilimanjaro looms in the distance and our path to the high camp unfurls before us like a ribbon of adventure. Upon reaching Kibo Camp, we dedicate the remainder of the day to rest and rejuvenation, preparing our minds and bodies for the final ascent, following a restful night's sleep.

DAY 7: KIBO CAMP TO UHURU PEAK AND DOWN TO HOROMBO CAMP

Today marks the pinnacle of our adventure – the summit stage. With anticipation in the air, we embark on our final ascent around midnight, a journey that will test our resilience and determination. Passing the iconic Hans Meyer Cave at 5220m, each step brings us closer to our goal. As the sky begins to blush with the first light of dawn, we reach Gillman's Point (5681m), the crater rim of Kilimanjaro, where the sun's rays gently warm the land, dispelling the chill of the night. With spirits soaring, we press on for another 1 – 2 hours until we stand triumphantly at Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Kilimanjaro at 5895m.

Upon our descent to Kibo Hut, a hearty meal awaits, providing sustenance for our journey back down to Horombo Hut. As we descend through diverse landscapes, reflecting on our achievement, we're embraced by the warmth and comfort of Horombo Camp, where we'll rest and celebrate our remarkable accomplishment.

Day 8: Horombo Camp to Marangu Gate

Today marks the final leg of your journey, as you descend from Horombo Camp through the heath and moor zone to Mandara Hut (2700m). Here, a warm lunch awaits you, providing a satisfying break before continuing your descent. Passing through the lush tropical rainforest once more, you'll trek for a total of 6 hours before reaching the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (1860m). Bid farewell to your mountain guides and embark on a short transfer back to your hotel in Moshi. Upon arrival, treat yourself to a warm and relaxing shower, and take this opportunity to celebrate your remarkable achievement of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro.

You have the freedom to explore Moshi town at your leisure, perhaps picking up some last-minute souvenirs or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll through the vibrant streets.

If time allows and you're keen to extend your Tanzanian experience, consider adding on optional excursions such as a safari or a visit to the captivating island of Zanzibar. These add-ons offer opportunities to further explore the diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Tanzania.
