Day 1: Arrival at Mkuzi (1564 m) via Lushoto

Transition from Mombo to Lushoto and onward to Mkuzi.

Day 2: Mkuzi to Mambo View Point

Distance: 20 kilometers
Embark on an unforgettable journey from Mkuzi to Mambo View Point, exploring the wonders of the Usambara Mountains.
Your day begins with a visit to the captivating Mkuzi Waterfalls, where you will be enchanted by the soothing melodies of cascading water amidst the picturesque landscape. Take a moment to immerse yourself in the serene ambiance of this natural paradise.
Afterward, venture to Rangwi via private transfer, with opportunities to sample locally brewed banana beers in some charming villages along the route. Delight in the flavors of this unique beverage while soaking in the cultural richness of the region.
As you traverse the path, be treated to stunning viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscapes. Continue your hike towards Mambo View Point, where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views along the mountain ridge, a true spectacle to behold.
Conclude your day with a sumptuous meal amidst the natural beauty of the Usambara Mountains before being chauffeured back to Lushoto via private transfer. From there, you can choose to journey onwards to Dar es Salaam or Kilimanjaro (Moshi Town), cherishing the memories of your mountain adventure.
Day 4: Summit Ascent and Descent to Momella Gate
Saddle Huts to Summit

Summit to Miriakamba Huts
- Elevation: 14,977 ft to 8,250 ft
- Distance: 13 km

Miriakamba Huts to Momella Gate
-Elevation: 8,250 ft to 4,921 ft
- Distance: 10 km
- Hiking Time: 2-3 hours
- Habitat: Rain Forest
Rise early, around 1:30 a.m., to embark on the steep ascent to Rhino Point (3,800 m.) and onward to
Cobra Point (4,350 m.). Arriving at the summit (4,566 m) just in time for sunrise, there's a chance to catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro Peak above the clouds. The final leg of the climb traverses a breathtaking narrow ridge line between the sheer inner cliffs and the sloping outer wall of the crater.
After a brief rest and brunch at Saddle Hut, begin your descent towards Meriakamba Hut and ultimately to Momella Gate. Your returning transfer awaits at Momella Gate to transport you back to Moshi or Arusha, where you can unwind and reflect on your remarkable journey.

Day 5: Departure from Tanzania
Today is a leisurely day, allowing you to relax and unwind after your trek before your departure flight home. Take advantage of the opportunity to explore the vibrant town of Moshi, where you can stroll through its bustling streets and browse local markets for souvenirs to cherish your Tanzanian adventure.
