Embark on an Epic Journey: Conquer Mount Kilimanjaro

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and conquer Mount Kilimanjaro via the private 8-day Western Breach Route climb. Renowned as the toughest and most challenging route, the Western Breach promises unparalleled beauty and unique experiences for the daring few who dare to tread its path. Unlike any other route, it approaches Kilimanjaro from the west, leading you to the volcano's crater and the majestic Furtwangler Glacier, with an unforgettable overnight stay at Crater Camp.

Starting from Moshi and venturing through Londorossi Gate, the journey traverses the stunning Shira Plateau before ascending to Lava Tower. Following an overnight rest at Lava Tower, the route continues towards Arrow Glacier Camp, passing through a perilous danger zone navigable only at night when temperatures plummet to safe levels. This route mandates helmets for safety, navigating through a constantly shifting rock slide. As you leave the danger zone behind, breathtaking vistas of Mount Meru and the colossal glacier on Kilimanjaro unfold before you.

A defining feature of the Western Breach is its unique opportunity for an overnight stay at Crater Camp, allowing climbers to stand at the very edge of Kilimanjaro's heart—the crater—before summiting Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. Those who choose the Western Breach route witness the full spectrum of Mount Kilimanjaro's miracles.

While the Western Breach presents challenges and necessitates stringent safety measures, Berngo Safaris takes pride in offering this extraordinary route to ambitious and adventurous climbers. Contact us today for further information and embark on an unforgettable ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro.
