Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania - Kilimanjaro Mountain Gear Check

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our team will be ready to warmly welcome you to Tanzania. You'll be swiftly transferred to your hotel in the charming town of Moshi, where your adventure begins.

Once settled in, you'll have the opportunity to meet your experienced guide, who will provide a comprehensive briefing on the thrilling trek that lies ahead. During this briefing, your guide will conduct an equipment check to ensure that you have all the necessary gear for a safe and enjoyable journey. Day 2: Londorossi Gate (2,100 meters) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 meters) - Beginning the Northern Circuit Route

Your journey on the Northern Circuit Route commences at Londorossi Gate (2,100 meters), the starting point shared with the renowned Lemosho Route. The drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate takes approximately two hours, with a longer journey from Arusha. Upon arrival, registration with the Kilimanjaro National Park authorities is conducted at the gate before proceeding further up the mountain to the trailhead starting point.

Before embarking on your trek, enjoy a delicious lunch served by most tour operators at the gate, providing nourishment for the adventure ahead. The first day's trek is a short but exhilarating one, leading you through the lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 meters). Day seven begins with a steady incline up and over the Saddle, the vast expanse nestled between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi. As you ascend, the air grows thinner, and each step brings you closer to the roof of Africa.

Continuing to ascend southwestward, you'll reach School Hut (4,800 meters), where you'll enjoy an early dinner before resting briefly in preparation for the summit attempt. Remember to gather all your gear, including warm clothes, insulated water bottles, snacks, headlamp, and camera, to ensure you're fully equipped for the journey ahead.

Under the cloak of darkness, your ascent to Uhuru Peak begins. With the glow of your headlamp guiding the way, each step is a testament to your perseverance and strength. With resolve in your heart and determination in your step, you'll embark on the ultimate ascent towards the summit of Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak.

Under the shroud of darkness, you'll navigate the steep incline up the slopes of Kibo, each step propelling you closer to your goal. Your journey is punctuated by brief respites, including a stop at Hans Meyer Cave, where you'll catch your breath amidst the rugged terrain.

As the hours pass and the night gives way to dawn, you'll ascend further, reaching Gilman’s Point (5,681 meters) after 5–6 hours of relentless trekking from School Hut. Here, amidst the ethereal glow of sunrise, you'll be treated to a breathtaking panorama, with Mawenzi Peak standing sentinel in the distance.

But your journey is not yet complete. With renewed determination, you'll press onward, following the crater rim towards Uhuru Peak. After a brief respite at the summit, you'll retrace your steps back along the crater rim to Stella Point (5,739 meters), where the path diverges southward.
